Indy North Magazine Awards Best Golf Training Center

The Hawthorns Golf Academy at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club has been named best Golf Training Center by Indy North Magazine.

The Hawthorns Academy is headed by its PGA Director of Golf Instruction Al Owens.

The award, voted on by the greater Indianapolis northern market, is another in a list of awards received through the direction of 20 year PGA member Al Owens.

The Hawthorns Academy is host to individual lessons, where any golfer can receive one-on-one instruction to improve their play. The individualized golf training also addresses the mental game and swing development designed through the direction of author and golf inner development coach, Al Owens.

Also  provided at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club is there Junior Golf Academy, aimed at early encouragement and skill development for younger players.

All aspects of the instruction are under the direction of Al Owens, with a team of professionals committed to the development of golfers in the northern Indianapolis area.  Jeff Buttitta is the Executive Director of Golf at The Hawthorns Country club who brought Al Owens on board in April of this year with the club to create a greater enhanced and detailed  golf instruction program at the The Hawthorns Country Club  for the 2011 season.  Individual lessons are available to members and non-members of the country club.
