Find Inspirations
By having inspiration to change areas of your game or life, your dreams change and probably become bigger and better all the time. Don’t hold back and have doubt about it not happening the way you want. Be persistent and believe in yourself and your game. Keep inspiring yourself to reach new levels and keep your emotions positive. With those positive emotions, your inspirations become easy creations.
Hold A Vision Of Your Shot
In order to create the intended outcome of your shots, you need to have a proper vision or dream of what you want to have happen.
So many people restrict their beliefs of what they can create because they have been told by others they don’t have enough experience, talent, strength or mental capacity to have a successful golf game.
Don’t listen to those limiting beliefs of others, find a shot you believe in and go for it!
Have A Positive Approach
Your successful participation in the game of golf revolves around your desire to play well, and enjoy your time while on the course. By addressing your round with a positive outlook you set yourself up for positive results.
Show-Off To The World!
You need to approach each shot with eagerness and belief in your game. Accept the shot at hand as an opportunity to show what you’ve got. Each shot is your chance to show off to the world! Be eager to take on these shots.
Heighten Your Senses
Perceive what is around you, feel the club in your hand, the ground under your feet. Keep the senses high and when you go to hit the ball….hit it with no worries about where it will go.
Believe In Your Shots
In order to create the desired outcome of particular shots you must believe in the possibility of that shot. This belief cannot just be a small emotion within you stating “I feel pretty good about that shot, I can make it”.
You must believe throught yourself that you can make the shot you are wanting to. Feeling pretty good about will not make it!
Resonate With Your Shots
The more power you put behind a thought the stronger it becomes. The fastest way for you to produce great results in your golf game is to put a strong or resonating thought behind your shots in order to greatly increase the successful outcome of the shots you desire.
To produce the shots you want to on the course you must resonate with the possibility of that shot occurring.
Pre-Shot Picture
As you go through your pre-shot routine make sure you have that picture of where you want the ball to go and you feel good about the possible outcome.
This emotion you are feeling must be positive because that emotion is attaching itself to your thoughts which in turn is drawing a like result for yourself.
Notice Your Surroundings
As you walk up and approach the green with your ball on the green, pay particular attention to the slope of the green, how big the green is, how far away you are from the cup and how does the green feel under your feet as you step on to the green.
Take all of these items into account as you approach the ball to determine your next plan of action.
Clear Your Mind Of Mechanical Thoughts
You cannot vision a target in your mind with your shots if you have no idea of what you are trying to create? Any mechanical swing thoughts in your mind can really get in the way of creating the desired outcome of a shot you have.
Look At The Cup
Hit putts from three feet out while simply looking at the cup. Three feet is no major accomplishment, but it is a starting point to help you “visualize” a target in your mind.
Simply take your stance, get ready, find your balance and look at the back of the cup, then stroke the ball into the cup. You will learn to drop your mechanical swing thoughts while concentrating on the cup.
Get Out Of Your Box
There is no one perfect shot for every circumstance. Your shots can get there in more ways than one, and many times it is a very good idea to “get out of your box,” and open your mind to new shots you have never tried before.
Avoid Disaster Rounds
The disaster round of golf occurs usually when someone heads to the practice range and is trying to fix their swing before their round.
This is something we all have been faced with and compelled to do from time to time, but it is bringing the wrong energy toward you.
By worrying about your swing mechanics you bring fear into your game before you play. Worry and doubt are negative energies you need to avoid. Simply go to the range to warm up and get loose.
Let Go Of Controlling Thoughts
By letting go of pre-conceived or controlled thoughts of how a hole should play, you allow for better outcomes. If you find your ball in the bunker, your round of golf can still have tremendous wonderful results.
Your ball in the bunker is merely a path to the final desired destination of par. Accept the shot and go on from there.
Proper Grip Pressure
When you are on the range and practicing it is very important to sense and feel all the parts of your body before, during and after the swing. As you grip the club, feel it in both hands when you place them on the club. You should be able to sense all parts of your hand while gripping the club.
That grip pressure should be even throughout the hands, not one hand holding on strangling the club more than the other. It should be balanced, and on a scale of 1-10, your grip pressure should be about a three (enough to hold a baby bird in your hand and not hurt it).
Take Your Shoes Off!
Agreat way to feel what balance they have in their swing is to take their socks and shoes shoe’s off!
It looks a little odd, watching someone take their golf shoes off while on the range. After you adjust to the grass and usually cooler conditions your bare feet have been subject to, take a short iron in your hand (a pitching wedge or nine iron) and we begin to work on the balance you have in their swing.
As feel the ground underneath, you are bringing in new sensations you have never had before because your shoes have blocked those feelings. Concentrate on your posture and try to get to feel the majority of your weight underneath the balls of their feet.
Normally most golfers have too much weight on their heels when they are in their shoes, so I am trying to get them to put a little more weight forward at address. The smaller minority has too much weight forward at address, but in either case, work at getting your weight under the balls of their feet.
Drop The Clutter In Your Mind
As you learn to plant the picture of your intended target in your mind, you begin to drop the clutter of thoughts you used to have with swings that had a poor picture. Just like on the putting green, you become more focused on the target and sense your body more.
Find A Comfortable Posture
Your body should be comfortable as you take your address. There should be no tension or pain in your lower back.
If you find some, adjust your posture to lesson that tension or pain. Remember, if you feel it at address it is only going to cause you to react in your swing as you make your stroke, and generally that reaction is not the one you want, it is a reflex that happens in-voluntarily to prevent pain in your swing.
Invite The Sweet Spot Into Your Swing
Most golfers do not realize that thinking about something, or the sweet spot, is inviting the essence of that something into their swing.
Whatever you think about is becoming an active part of you and your thoughts are drawing that nearer to you.
To take this one step further, since the sweet spot is a feeling you receive when the ball is struck squarely, if you associate that thought of the sweet spot and its feel, you add more positive energy toward your desired outcome.
Free Yourself From Your Outcomes
Your mind may be trying to use you and as it is doing so by placing destructive thoughts or images about yourself or your game inside of you. These thoughts are like a disease and this is putting the feeling of dis-ease in you when you are playing.
You must be able to be free from the outcomes of your shots when you play. Release yourself to simply watch yourself when you play and notice what is happening. Judgment is not needed here, rather just observation of what you are thinking, feeling and sensing as you move from shot to shot.
